Itinerary

Day01ARRIVAL TIME IN ANTANANARIVO AND DRIVE TO ANDASIBE

Description:
Arrival at the Ivato International Airport, Antananarivo. You will be welcomed by our representative. Meet and greet. Once you have passed customs formalities, it is to the Guide to smooth through the rest of the arrivals process – changing money, setting up your phone with a new SIM card, and anything else you need. This will make our contact easier. Then, drive directly to Andasibe. . On the national road number 2, to the east, we enjoy panoramic views of the stepped rice fields. We see various mountains and then continue to the east through the green and luxuriant vegetation. On the arrival, after check-in at the hotel around 6:30PM, you end this day with a guided night visits which will take 1 hour and half, and then drive back to the hotel

Day02ANDASIBE (PERINET)

Description:

After breakfast, you start with a guided visit at Analamazaotra National Park. It is better to leave the hotel early (about 7:30AM) to meet easily the Indri-Indri and the Diademed Sifaka in their forest home. The visit takes about 3 hours. Within a mile of the park you can hear the peculiar call of the indri very early in the morning until noon and again in the late afternoon. Indris (called Babakoto in Malagasy) are the largest living lemurs at all reaching up to 1 meter. Andasibe is the best place to observe the Indris given that there are a couple of families habituated to humans. It lives in small groups and cannot survive in captivity. There are several legends trying to explain its origins since it is considered a sacred animal in the whole Madagascar. Apart from the Indri, another 13 lemur species inhabit these forests, such as woody lemur, grey bamboo lemur, diademed sifaka, brown lemur, red mouse-lemur, red-bellied lemur, black and white ruffed lemur and even aye-aye. In the afternoon we visit Andasibe village, known as “the City of Waters”, and stroll through the local market to see some Malagasy craftspeople working. Then, you will enjoy an amazing up close and personal experience with lemurs on the private Lemurs Island and then on to view many other species in the Vakona Reserve Zoo, where you will see many crocodiles in the huge river enclosure, native birds, and other wildlife in well-kept surroundings.

Day03DRIVE FROM ANDASIBE TO ANTANANARIVO

Description:
Breakfast, then, we depart early back to the capital city and have around 4 hours drive through the spectacular eroded hills called lavaka. On the road, we visit the Peyrieras Madagascar Exotic. The famous exotic animal breeding centre owned by naturalist Andre Pereyras, where we see almost all the chameleon species of Madagascar – as well as leaf tailed geckos, lemur, cocquerel’s Sifaka, and other interesting animals, such as butterflies, moths (the giant Atlas Moth), and tenrecs.

Day04FLY FROM ANTANANARIVO TO MORONDAVA

Description:
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight TNR (Departure at 11:00am) to the west coast of the island, destination to Morondava MOQ (Arrival at 12:00pm). Then, check-in at your hotel. After lunch, enjoy the rest of the day in Morondava : Relax on the beach for the rest of the day, and admire the incredible sight of sunset.

Day05DRIVE FROM MORONDAVA TO KIRINDY

Description:
After breakfast, drive directly to the North, about 42 km following the secondary road which a bit dusty, to reach the famous Kirindy Park. Check-in at your hotel (Relais du Kirindy).

Around 6:30 PM, beginning of the Guided night walk at Kirindy Reserve. Kirindy is the best place in the whole island to observe fosa. Other nocturnal species included: the rare Coquerel’s giant mouse lemur and pygmy mouse-lemur, fork-crowned lemur, grey mouse lemur, western fat-tailed dwarf lemur and red-tailed sportive lemur. Several bats, tenrecs, mongoose and rodents complete the mammal population.Kirindy is also known for its endemic flora. There are three species of baobab: the Andasoniarubrostipa or the fony baobab, with a bottle shaped trunk with major horizontal branches, between 5 and 20 meters, the AndasoniaZa, a tall tree that ranges from 20 to 30 meters, and the Andasoniagrandidieri, the biggest of the six species of baobab, up to 30 meters.

Day06VISIT AT THE KIRINDY RESERVE AND DRIVE FROM KIRINDY TO MORONDAVA

Description:
After breakfast, around 7:00 AM, beginning of the Guided day visits at Kirindy reserve. Kirindy Reserve is home to seven species of lemur. The most common are the common brown lemurs and the Verreaux’s sifakas. These long-legged, seven-pound lemurs, white with dark patches, leap among tree trunks high in the canopy, propelled by their powerful hind legs but continually maintaining an upright posture. 40 bird, 50 reptile and 15 amphibian species are also found in this magnificent forest. After Kirindy’s Reserve visit, back to the road to Morondava, and we stop at the most scenic road in Madagascar: Baobab Avenue. Stuning, this is the popular attraction all day long. However, sunset is the best and most popular time of the day. Arrival in Morondava at the end of the afternoon, transfer to the hotel.

Day07FLY FROM MORONDAVA TO ANTANANARIVO

Description:
After breakfast, relax or last visit in the area. After, you will take a flight back to the capital Antananarivo. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Depending on your arrival time in Tana, you can choose whichever tour you want to do in this day, in consultation with your local guide and your driver : purchase some souvenirs at the craft market, visit some places…

I'm a solo traveler, can I still join the tour?

Yes of course, As all our tours are for solo travelers. You will travel with like-minded and fun-loving people who like to explore new destinations and activities like yourself.

I want to join with my partner or friends; is it possible?

No condition for fun! You can always join the group tours with anyone by your side either your partner or a group of crazy friends. We make sure to arrange accommodation and all other activities accordingly. Do you want to know the lined-up list of tours; please check our tour finder section for more details.

I am travelling solo, do I have to pay single supplement?

No. All trip prices are based on double occupancy rooms. You will be paired with another solo traveler of the same gender to share the accommodation. If you enrolled with another person, you’ll room with that person. Although single supplement option is available if you prefer a room for yourself. If you are interested in a single room please select the single supplement package while booking.

What are the accommodation options?

We offer luxurious hotels, budgeted motels, spontaneous camps, handy lodges and every other possibility at your destination.

What is cancellation policy?

If you cancel your booking cancellation fees could apply. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip:

More than 60 days prior to departure you will receive a full refund less deposit amount
Between 45 to 60 days prior to departure we will retain the deposit or 50% of the amount paid (whichever is greater)
Less than 45 days prior to departure we receive the right to not refund any of the costs paid

Do I need a Travel Medical insurance?

Yes, Travel insurance is required for all international trips. Insurance covers (and reimburses you) for things like trip cancellation, trip interruption, and trip delay, lost or delayed baggage, medical coverage, medical evacuation, etc.

Just finished 7 day hike to Mont Blanc. What a trip!! Great combination of wonderful hike and gorgeous scenery!! We met in Geneva and started hike from Les Houches, France and finished at Le Tour. Went through France, Italy and Swiss portions of Alps. We have seen and crossed Glaciers, Rocky mountains, lush green valleys and peaks!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous except one day it rained with pea size hail for about 7 minutes which made it more interesting. Spent nights in Refugio, hotels and hostels. Food was very good with varieties. I had Veal steak, Raclette, Scalopini, Chicken Cacciatore, Fondue. Phillipe, our Mont Blanc trekking guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about Alps including every peak, plants, trees. He was very intuitive of people's level and helped us pace so we all finished trekking safely. Couldn't have ask for a better guide. The trip was excellent and the price was even better 👌

My Hawaii trip was above and beyond my expectations! The views were breathtaking and the landscape was absolutely gorgeous. Northwestern Washington state is amazing. We were able to get a good snapshot of 3 national parks among other side trips including an unexpected parade. A good variety of hikes. You won't be bored.

Took the chasing slot canyons trip. The slot canyons were amazing and the guides were knowledgeable. The slot canyon hikes were advanced and highly technical on two of the hikes. I’m an Intermediate hiker and was able to do 2 of the 4. It would have been helpful for the guides to have some safety equipment with them like ropes.
Most of the hotels were good except the La Quinta in Las Vegas was a true one star hotel.
All in all, a good trip. Great people on the trip also. I would travel with bucket list again but ask a lot more questions in the future.

We had a great time in Costa Rica. Judy was amazing and so patient with all of us. The trip was well planned and had lots of activities. We went to a different destination everyday. Even after a full day of activities Judy would drive 4 hours without complaining. I loved the trip and I'm already planning my next trip with Bucket list. Its an experience worth having!

Very good value for money. Bucket List Group Travel are a small operator but provide tours around the US & the World. Himanshu gives a very personalised service ideal for small groups of solo travellers coming together to share experiences. He acted as guide and driver with a hire van.

We did New Year in Las Vegas over 4 days with 3 Americans, staying at the Luxor Hotel & Casino. The itinerary included Helicopter ride over the strip, socialising to get to know the group, Little Church of the West, Strat Observation tower with rides, New Year celebrations and Casinos, drive to Red Rock Canyon for hiking, 7 Magic Mountains stone art, Shark Acquarium, Zipline over Fremont Street, drive to Death Valley for Zabriskie point, Furnace Creek, Badwater Creek salt planes, Artist Palet, Mosaic Creek, Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Star Gazing in Nevada, Gondola ride at Venetian Hotel, Indian dining.

Very flexible and accommodating, great communicator before and during tour, and even on the departure day helped give airport taxi and accompanied to hotel exhibitions of Titanic, and the Human Body.

Good degree of being part of the group whilst also sitting back allowing the group to interact and take photo opportunities while friendships were formed. Highly recommended.

Egypt trip 2019
Truly one of the best trips I've ever had. It was my first time ever doing a solo trip. Himanshu gave us an itinerary and a list of good traveling tips for Egypt months in advance. He is very organized and responsive so I never had any concerns. Everything was already taken care of. All I had to do was show up.
The scenes in Egypt were breathtaking and I saw places that I never thought I'd see. I got to experience floating over the Valley of Kings in a hot air balloon! How many people can say they got to travel via plane, train, bus, hot air balloon, and boat all within one week?! Such an adventure!
The people I met in our group were so cool and accommodating, all with their own unique backgrounds and stories. Dancing on the boat with them while sailing up the Nile River is one of my favorite memories. I now have new friends scattered all over the United States. The tour-guides were so friendly and patient despite the fact that our group kept scattering in different directions taking pictures. If you're looking for a fun, stress-free vacation where you get to move around, meet new fun people, and immerse yourself in new cultures, TripNTrek is for you. I'm definitely doing another trip.

Had a wonderful vacation watching the balloons ascend at the ballon fiesta. Road saucers down beautiful sand dunes at White Sand Monument. Hiked narrow trails at Tent Rock monument. Motel rooms were comfortable with complimentary breakfasts. Easy going tour guide. Just an all around great

Group adventure traveling done right!!! Amazing trip, amazing people, and with an amazing group leader!!! Our Iceland Adventure trip was extremely well organized, and any unexpected minor challenges were immediately handled by our group leader. I wouldn't consider myself a "world traveler" so naturally I was a bit nervous about my first time traveling in a group like this, BUT I was super impressed with how it all came together each day during our trip. Our group leader was excellent. He always made sure everyone was included and communication was clear in each one of our adventure activities. It takes a special skill set to accommodate everyone's situation with understanding, patience and a great positive attitude - and our group leader did just that! Trip of a lifetime. I would absolutely recommend this travel company to friends and family, and I am already thinking about what my next trip will be!

I took the TRIP N TREK Group Travel and Adventure to Iceland (July 2019) with Himanshu. It was well organized, and I got to experience everything that I was promised. It was a trip of a life-time, and I would definitely go with Himanshu again. It's not easy organizing a group of people, but TRIP N TREK did it well. I hope to go on another vacation next year.
